Event: AROUND THE WORLD IN 7 PLATES, KSF 6TH ANNUAL DINNER AUCTION

  • About the Event: A new and exciting format for our annual fundraising event this year… come take a "continental expedition" with Karla Smith Foundation! Shop at our "Dubai Shopping Festival" themed silent auction, enjoy Vegas style gaming, sip some wine in our European bistro, explore our diamond cave, and take a chance at an outback adventure in our Aussie Bar. Event: ST. CLAIR COUNTY (IL) OUT OF THE DARKNESS COMMUNITY WALK

  • When: SATURDAY, OCTOBER 20, 2012, 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m

  • About the Event: The Out of the Darkness Community Walks are 3-5 mile walks taking place in over 250 communities across the country this year, with the proceeds benefiting the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP).

 

Event: BELLEVILLE CHILI COOK OFF

  • When: FRIDAY, OCTOBER 5 & SATURDAY, OCTOBER 6, 2012
  • Where: Downtown Belleville, IL (20 minute Southeast of Downtown St. Louis)

  • About the Event: Come join KSF at the 29th Annual Belleville Chili Cook-Off! We are thrilled to be participating in this race for the winning chili and the opportunity to touch 60,000 event goers with our mission! This is a fantastic opportunity to volunteer your time and talents! We need cooks for October 4th food preparation, and we need people willing to work our booth on Friday and Saturday during the event. It's a family friendly environment complete with lots of great musical entertainment, a children's area and more. And if chili isn't your preference, there are many different foods to enjoy. All proceeds from our sales do directly benefit KSF. Thank you for joining us, and even if you are unable to volunteer, stop by our booth for some KSF chili! Event: ERASE THE STIGMA CONFERENCE

  • When: FRIDAY, AUGUST 24 & SATURDAY, AUGUST 25, 2012, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.
  • Where: National Shrine of Our Lady of the Snows, Belleville, IL.
  • About the Event: Keynote Speakers include Cinda and Linea Johnson, authors of Perfect Chaos: a daughter's journey to survive bipolar, a mother's struggle to save her. Nanci Schiman, a licensed social worker with three teenage daughters, two of whom were diagnosed at ages nine and ten with bipolar disorder. Some of the other topics include psychotropic medications and other forms of treatment; transitions for persons of all ages; family support; erasing the stigma of mental illness. Erase the Stigma 2012 - Flyer and Registration Form
