Thanks to the support of tremendous volunteers and dedicated supporters of our mission, KSF had a summer full of great events. Here are a few highlights:
- KSF Advisory Council member, Jaye Coers, along with her husband, John, and Corky and Dorcas Cecil, hosted a magnificent wine tasting party at the Cecil home to raise awareness and funds for KSF.
- In July, Pat and Carolyn Dellamano hosted the the 4th Annual Nick Dellamano golf tournament at Emerald Greens Golf Course in St. Louis, in memory of their son, Nick, who died by suicide in 2008.
- Anyone who lives in the Belleville area knows about the annual Belleville Chili Cook-off, typically attended by more than 50,000 people on the first weekend of October. KSF participated for the first time hosting a booth and selling a wonderful “Hope Chili” created by our partners at the Shrine Apartment Community.

KSF Staff Changes
|
|
| |
As a result of KSF’s continued growth since 2005, KSF reached a point that an Executive Director was needed to oversee the daily demands and long range goals of all our programs and events. We are happy to announce that Emily Smith is now our first, salaried Executive Director and Sue Neuharth is our first, part-time, paid Administrative Assistant. In addition Linda Murphey, who together with her husband, Jim, facilitates our support group in St. Louis, volunteered to become our Volunteer Coordinator.
Also, as of September 1, KSF employee Chris Hendrix was chosen as the Statewide Coordinator for the Family Leadership program for the Illinois Children’s Mental Health Partnership.
