Prayers of Intercession

Mental Illness Awareness and Recovery

That people who suffer from depression, anxiety disorder, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia and other mental health problems receive the medical care they need and deserve, let us pray to the Lord.

That people struggling with mental health problems find hope for a balanced life, let us pray to the Lord.

That the compassion of Jesus may guide us all in responding to the needs of persons with mental disorders, let us pray to the Lord.

That our faith community may be a place of welcome and an instrument of healing for those who are distressed in mind or in body, let us pray to the Lord.

That there be appropriate and adequate community services, productive research, and sufficient funding for persons with mental illness, let us pray to the Lord.

That there be understanding and compassion for family members and friends of persons with mental health problems, let us pray to the Lord.

That the families and friends of those who suffer from mental health problems find the patience, knowledge, and support they need to cope with the mental illness of their loved one, let us pray to the Lord.

That through knowledge, research, and compassion, the stigma associated with mental illness be erased so persons with mental health problems and their families and friends may freely seek the professional help they need, let us pray to the Lord.

That the homeless people who suffer from mental illness may find safe shelter, proper care, clothing and nourishment, let us pray to the Lord.

That the psychiatrists, counselors, research scientists, and all other professional mental health caregivers be successful, encouraged, and appreciated in providing their services and skills to persons suffering from mental health problems, let us pray to the Lord.
